Sue Peyton is the primary fiber artist at Wandering Brook Fiber, doing everything from caring for the sheep and goats to washing and dyeing fiber to creating finished products.

She got started in her fiber journey because of her love for animals, and found that she loved playing with their fiber almost as much as she enjoyed caring for them. She particularly loves experimenting with color, using both natural and synthetic dyes. She grows many of the plants that she uses in her natural dyeing.

Sue got her love of color from her mom and business partner, Dorothy Obermeier. Dorothy started working with textiles at a young age through knitting and sewing. However, weaving is her true passion.
